Enjoy this summer’s fresh harvest and visit The Burlington Farmer’s Market this Saturday!

The Burlington Farmers’ Market provides a welcoming venue for visitors and locals alike to shop directly from Vermont farmers and artisans in the city’s historic downtown. This fun and festive experience is offered year-round through two markets, an outdoor market in warmer months and an indoor market during Vermont’s chilly winters. Both treat shoppers to a bounty of fresh, locally grown produce, handmade crafts, sweet and savory treats, and meats and cheeses from Vermont’s lush pastures. Fall Home Design Trends

autumn-fall-2015-home-design

It’s that time of the year when summer ends, leaves start to fall, and cozy sweaters are almost in.  The latest home design trend is to fill your homes with earthly neutrals and bold color statements.  This is the perfect time to bring these on-trend hues into your home.

With your favorite fall colors in mind, choose pillows and throws in various textures and patterns. This is the easiest and most budget friendly way to transition your home to the cooler seasons.  Next, use your senses by bringing in the golden hue of fall sunsets with ambient lighting from tabletop lamps, candles, and lanterns.  Instead of using your overhead lights, you can use lamps to give it a warm glow.

Remember the rule of three.  Feature your fall décor in threes, for example by having three candlesticks, three vases, or three decorative figurines.  You’ll see that these are much more impactful together than on their own.
