mardi gras

Yes, it’s that time of the year again! The 20th annual Mardi Gras celebration presented in Burlington by the Magic Hat Brewing Co. starts today, February 27th through Sunday, March 1st!

It may be cold in downtown Burlington but The Magic Hat Mardi Gras is sure to spread warmth over the next three days.

From the Kick-Off Party at 8:00pm today, the magnificent Grand Parade on Saturday, all the way to the hearty lunches we can all enjoy in and around Church Street on Sunday, this is sure to be one event to remember!

Also, don’t forget to check out our very own KW Vermont float in the parade tomorrow at 3:00pm! The whole KW Vermont team pitched in to make the float absolutely magical!

Recycle Your Christmas Tree!

The holiday season has come to an end and we hope you made lots of new and lasting memories with your family and friends!

As we enter the first full week of January, you might be thinking about tossing your tree into a regional landfill.  Instead, recycle your tree and convert the holiday greenery into fuel, mulch, or even food for goats!

The Chittenden Solid Waste District has created a schedule to either pick up your tree or drop it off at specified locations. Click on the link below for more information.

You can also visit:

If you want to visit the Pine Island Farm and its goats and learn about the benefits they get from your Christmas trees, the address is: 1029 Pine Island Road, Colchester.

Reduce, re-use and recycle and let’s start 2015 the right way!
