Yes, it’s that time of the year again! The 20th annual Mardi Gras celebration presented in Burlington by the Magic Hat Brewing Co. starts today, February 27th through Sunday, March 1st!
It may be cold in downtown Burlington but The Magic Hat Mardi Gras is sure to spread warmth over the next three days.
From the Kick-Off Party at 8:00pm today, the magnificent Grand Parade on Saturday, all the way to the hearty lunches we can all enjoy in and around Church Street on Sunday, this is sure to be one event to remember!
Also, don’t forget to check out our very own KW Vermont float in the parade tomorrow at 3:00pm! The whole KW Vermont team pitched in to make the float absolutely magical!

This weekend’s celebrations are not only to entertain but will also serve to bring awareness and support to the Vermont Foodbank. Through food shelves, meal sites and food programs, many families can get the nutrition they need.

February 21, 2015 – Celebrate Burlington’s 150th Birthday!
Burlington became incorporated as a city last February 21, 1865.
This celebration acknowledges the city’s rich history and the incredible people who have made Burlington the place we know and love today!
Come and join your friends and neighbors for a Community Photo at 3pm. You can also enjoy beautiful music brought to you by the Vermont Philharmonic Winds.
Burlington’s youth will parade down Church Street with hand-made lanterns followed by a Parade of Cakes representing the schools of Burlington. Then visit City Hall for a slice of cake, and enjoy enhanced lighting and heating and retail sales and food and beverage specials presented by the Church Street Marketplace retailers and restaurateurs!

As we enter the first full week of January, you might be thinking about tossing your tree into a regional landfill. Instead, recycle your tree and convert the holiday greenery into fuel, mulch, or even food for goats!
